ROLE: How you contribute to Tembec
 
Temporary non-model position that relieves model office positions within the Newsmill, Sawmill and Woodlands in the event of absences caused by vacation, illness, etc.  You need to be safety-conscious, energetic, and able to understand your role. 
 
 
REQUIREMENTS: What you bring to our workplace
  • Education:  Secondary School Diploma with Grade 12 level mathematics and a Grade 12 level language as mandatory credits.  Must be able to pass a typing test and meet G.A.T.B. criteria.  Proficiency with computer applications and Word and Excel programs is required.
  • Certification:  Diplomas in Accounting or Office Administration would be considered an asset. 
  • Experience: 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A RELATED FIELD  
  • Language: Bilingualism  is an asset
 
CONDITIONS: Compensation and hours
  • Wages Starting: $23.28 per hour
  • Hours:  average 37.5 hours per week
  • Shift work:   NA

  • Tembec’s Kapuskasing operations include the newsprint mill with some 350 employees, a sawmill with 125 employees, and a forest management operation with 100 employees.
  • Planned as a model town, Kapuskasing is a bilingual community with a population of close to 10,000 that serves a number of smaller nearby communities.
  • Housing costs in Kapuskasing are about a third of the Ontario average, and the area boasts good schools and health care.
